how does this information impact you as a teacher?

after watching the videos, the information impacts me as a teacher in the following way:

I am encouraged that children's brains are able to change with their experiences. So if a child is/has had a negative experiences, I can hopefully change that.

I am prepared to plan my classroom and lessons differently knowing each student is coming from a different place and perhaps might struggle with structure, authority or be fearful.

knowing there are sensitive periods, I can encourage and educate families to be walking with their children, talking and playing games. Working together with families we can instill positive experiences for the child.

I can also implement positive experiences in class - games, talking, walking etc.

knowing how important it is that their heads are protected, I can make sure they are safe at least at school. I can inform their parents of the importance of helmets etc.
